In a much anticipated event, two giant pandas left China on Oct. 14 for the National Zoo in Washington DC，US.
在万众期待中，两只大熊猫于10月14日离开中国，前往美国华盛顿特区的国家动物园。
The 3-year-old giant pandas — Bao Li (a male born on Aug 4, 2021) and Qing Bao (a female born on Sept 12, 2021) will start their 10-year life abroad, according to an agreement signed by the China Wildlife Conservation Association and the zoo in April.
根据中国野生动物保护协会和动物园在4月份签署的协议，3岁的大熊猫“宝力”（雄性，2021年8月4日出生）和“青宝”（雌性，2021年9月12日出生）将开始他们在国外10年的生活。

The death toll （死亡人数）from a fuel tanker （油罐车）explosion in northern Nigeria has risen to at least 153, with another 100 people injured, police said on Oct. 17.
